Did you know that you can bring your swimming lessons to your school?
Swim:ED brings a fully-equipped pop-up swimming pool directly to your school, removing the travel, staffing, and scheduling challenges that come with off-site lessons.
Pupils receive structured, curriculum-aligned swimming and water safety lessons delivered by qualified swim teachers and lifeguards- all without leaving school.
Following the recent acquisition of Dream Big Sports, LSC is delighted to continue to deliver Swim:ED’s on-site swimming programme that has successfully supported primary schools for over 2.5 years in Oldham, Rochdale and Central Manchester.
Swim:ED is a nation-wide programme transforming how primary schools teach more consistent and time-saving swimming and water safety lessons.
Why Are Primary Schools Choosing On-Site Swimming Lessons?
30% of primary school leavers are unable to swim 25 meters and this number continues to rise each year.
For many schools, traditional swimming lessons can be difficult to organise. Local pool closures, high travel costs, and staff taken from classrooms to supervise trips often make it challenging to provide consistent, high-quality lessons.
On-site swimming lessons eliminate these barriers, making swimming a seamless part of the school day.
With Swim:ED, schools benefit from:
-
On-site pop-up pools: Fully installed and managed by our specialist team, the pools are securely anchored and meet industry safety standards, providing a safe environment for pupils and staff.
-
Qualified instructors and lifeguards: All sessions are delivered by certified swim teachers with trained lifeguards present, giving schools full confidence in lesson quality and safety.
-
Teachers remain in the classroom: No staff supervision required, meaning teachers and TAs can stay focused on their lessons.
On-site swimming turns your playground into a space where pupils develop life-saving skills, confidence, and a love for swimming.
Swim:ED’s Programme for Confidence and Safety in The Water
The pop-up pool will come to your school for 5-6 weeks. During this time, the qualified coaches will deliver a 45 minute session to small groups of pupils, no more than 12, to maximise engagement and support.
The programme is fully aligned with the national curriculum for swimming and water safety, helping schools meet statutory requirements while giving pupils the confidence, skills, and knowledge they need in the water.
Across all sessions, 91.9% of pupils participating in Swim:ED improved* in at lease one of the fundamental areas:
- Swimming 25 metres unaided
- Performing a range of strokes effectively
- Understanding water safety theory
- Performing safe self-rescue
Swim:ED provides high-quality, consistent swimming lessons that are safe, effective, and structured, all without placing extra pressure on school budgets or classroom schedules.
